Emergency Administration and Management Program

Program Description

This Associate in Science degree prepares students for careers in Emergency Management and Homeland Security. The degree is also for all professionals or volunteer agency personnel interested in enhancing technical competencies and preparing themselves for advanced work in disaster relief and humanitarian operations. The curriculum is based on an all-hazards approach to emergency management and emphasizes effective operating procedures under all emergency conditions. Graduates of the program typically find employment as aid agency operators, emergency managers and planners, and homeland security specialists.

Homeland Security Specialized Certificate:  Students pursuing the A.S. Degree in Emergency Administration and Management can opt to complete a specialized certificate in Homeland Security. This degree and associated certificate is for all professional or volunteer agency personnel interested in enhancing technical competencies and preparing themselves for advanced work in disaster relief and humanitarian operations.
