The Welding program provides quick training for a highly-skilled, in-demand career. You’ll learn to use welding, flame-cutting and soldering tools in both the flat and vertical positions to create basic joint configurations that will permanently bond or fill holes and indentions in metal products. Instruction includes the most common process, Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and the widely used Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) technique. You will also study basic layout, material usage, industry quality standards, safety requirements, and blue print drawings.
