Musicians and singers use their talents to entertain others with their performances and for personal enjoyment. Some travel all over the world on concert tours. As a music major, you will be well-prepared to perform as a solo artist or in ensembles in sound studios, television, movies, radio, nightclubs, concert halls, theatres, amusements parks and cruise ships. IRSC offers opportunities to perform in shows held at the McAlpin Fine Arts Center on the Main Campus and provide a well-respected foundation for transfer to a university upon completion of the Associate in Arts Degree.

Students interested in pursuing a degree in Theatre, Music or Dance should contact the Performing Arts Department prior to registering for classes due to audition requirements for certain classes and possible scholarship opportunities, 772-462-7727.

  • A.A. Degree — Complete your first two years of college at IRSC, and you’re guaranteed the right to transfer as a junior to a Bachelor’s program at a Florida state university — or continue to a Bachelor’s degree at IRSC.
