Choose dental science to help people maintain and improve their oral health, quality of life and appearance, but which path is right for you?

Do you want to be a dentist? The Associate in Arts Degree will prepare you for university transfer prior to Dental School.

Do you want to assist a dentist with patient services? The Associate in Science Degree in Dental Assisting will ready you for a professional career taking radiographs and impressions, making temporary crowns, polishing teeth, placing sealants and other functions. You’ll first become an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant and gain hands-on practice in IRSC’s Dental Clinic and local dental offices.

Are you interested in providing preventive dental care? The Associate in Science Degree in Dental Hygiene will prepare you for success providing services that keep patients teeth clean and healthy. As a dental hygienist you’ll work directly with patients in private dental offices, public health agencies, school systems, hospitals and clinics.

  • A.S. Degree — Gain management and technical skills in many high-demand career fields, with the option to continue toward a Bachelor’s degree at IRSC.
