Georgette Rosenfeld, Ph.D., R.R.T., R.N. — Professor

Georgette-RosenfeldDr. Georgette Rosenfeld received her Ph.D. in Education Leadership from Florida Atlantic University. She was awarded a Master’s degree in Vocational Education from the University of Central Florida and Bachelor of Science degree from Barry University. Dr. Rosenfeld is a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in adult and neonatal critical care medicine. Dr. Rosenfeld developed the Respiratory Care program at IRSC in 1990 and continues to administrate the program in accordance with the Commission on Respiratory Care (CoARC) accreditation standards.

Rob Walsh, M.S. Ed., R.R.T. – Assistant Professor

Rob-WalshProfessor Walsh is the Director of Clinical Education in the Respiratory Care program. Mr. Walsh has a bachelor’s degree in Biology from State University of New York at Brockport and a master’s degree in education from Capella University. Prior to working at IRSC, he performed pulmonary function testing in pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation clinics and a clinical specialist at Indian River Medical Center in the respiratory care department acting as a clinical resource person for staff and physicians. Professor Walsh has over 25 years of experience in respiratory care working in many different institutions from large teaching and research hospitals to small rural community hospitals. Mr. Walsh is currently pursuing a second master’s degree in Respiratory Care from Canisius College.
