Addictions Studies Specialization

Are you eager to advance your level of knowledge in Human Services? IRSC’s Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services, specializing in Addictions Studies, will build upon your foundation of helping others in times of need. IRSC’s program focuses on counseling theories, early intervention techniques and post-traumatic stress training by exploring the nature and impacts of substance abuse.

You will learn strategies in substance abuse treatment and recovery as well as how to provide support, coordinate community outreach activities, and facilitate educational programs. Graduates find employment in comprehensive substance abuse treatment facilities (both in-patient and out-patient), psychiatric service facilities and hospital settings.

Human Services Generalist Specialization

If you enjoy helping others in crisis or those who are having difficulty coping with life problems, a Bachelor of Science in Human Services is your key to a rewarding career. Human Services prepares students to deal with complex problems such as domestic abuse, juvenile delinquency, youth development, family difficulties, life skills training, geriatric services and social services.

Graduates find employment in mental health agencies, social service agencies, crisis intervention programs, community health centers, nonprofit agencies providing direct services to the community, youth development programs, and family health agencies.
