Architectural Design and Construction Technology

Overview:

The engineering and architectural professions supporting the construction industry have been transformed by high technology, with a variety of computer drafting (CAD) software widely utilized. The Associate in Science Degree in Architectural Design and Construction Technology teaches students the most up-to-date practices, including how to use and produce drawings with an understanding of materials, surveying, building codes, and more. Most courses combine classroom instruction with labs, and hands-on learning is emphasized.

The professional architectural technician prepares drawings for a variety of business uses. Architectural offices, design/development firms, general contractors, and truss manufacturing plants are just a few of the businesses that engage students with this training.
