Fifty-two buildings on 300 acres comprise IRSC's beautifully landscaped Main Campus. Centrally located on Florida's Treasure Coast, the Main Campus is a hub of activity with nine new Bachelor's degree programs, Associate in Arts programs for university transfer, over 100 programs for career training, courses for professional and personal development and free Adult Education/GED Preparation.


Bachelor's Degrees: Indian River State College offers Bachelor's Degree programs in Biology; Business Administration; Criminal Justice; Digital Media with concentrations in Graphics & Web, Gaming & Video, and Modeling & Simulation; Human Services with concentrations in Youth & Family Studies, Addictions Studies, and Generalist; Information Technology Management/Cyber Security; Nursing; Teacher Education in math and science for middle school and high school, Exceptional Student Education (ESE); Organizational Management, Health Care Management and Public Administration with concentrations in Public Policy & Leadership and Emergency Planning & Management. These programs are offered within easy driving distance for Treasure Coast residents, with small classes and personal attention. Tuition for IRSC Bachelor's programs is 40% less than the cost at Florida public universities.

Associate in Arts Degree: Students who earn an A.A. Degree from IRSC are guaranteed transfer to a Florida public university upon graduation. Many IRSC A.A. Degree graduates continue at IRSC for their junior and senior years, earning a Bachelor's Degree in their field of interest.

Associate in Science Degree/Associate in Applied Science Degree/Technical Certificates: Students can prepare for a rewarding high-tech career after completing a two-year A.S. or A.A.S. Degree or by completing a Technical Certificate, generally in a year or less. These IRSC graduates have a history of excellent performance on state and national licensure exams, with jobs in their field at graduation.

The River Hammock, IRSC's student residence complex is located on the Main Campus. Fully-furnished apartments feature a central living area, dining room, and kitchen. Four individual bedrooms with two full baths assure privacy. The River Hammock offers convenience, comfort, and an environment conducive to studying.

Main Campus Crews Hall Crews Hall — Crews Hall assists students through an innovative "one-stop" approach to student services, bringing together financial aid, career planning, orientation, academic counseling, admissions, registration and testing in one convenient location.

Nursing The Mary L. Fields Health Science Center — The Mary L. Fields Health Science Center simulates "real world" health care environments, such as a nursing ward, medical and dental laboratories and a working Dental Clinic.

Kight Center The Kight Center for Emerging Technologies — Located on the Indian River State College Main Campus in Fort Pierce, the Kight Center for Emerging Technologies, is a showcase for cutting-edge technology, manufacturing and teacher education.

Encompassing 108,000 square feet, the four-story Kight Center is now IRSC's largest and most technologically sophisticated facility. The Center is designed to enhance economic development by serving as a business resource and innovative learning environment to prepare a highly-skilled workforce. The Kight Center for Emerging Technologies is home to IRSC's Digital Media Institute, Robotics/Photonics Institute, and CyberSecurity Institute, as well as distance learning opportunities in nuclear medicine and other fields.

McAlpin-Theatre-Outside The IRSC Fine Arts Complex — The IRSC Fine Arts Complex features the 620-seat McAlpin Fine Arts Center, the 100-seat Wynne Black Box Theatre and Art Gallery, Fee Dance Studio, classrooms and rehearsal rooms, emphasizing IRSC's commitment to the development of a well-rounded student.

Brown Center For Innovation And Entrepreneurship — Indian River State College is connecting training in alternative energy and new technologies with services for business start-ups to create a powerful launching pad for new jobs on the Research Coast. BCIE BuildingThis potent combination of resources is based in the Brown Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship based at the College’s Main Campus in Fort Pierce.

The multi-purpose Center prepares students for cutting-edge careers, while the Innovation Incubator simultaneously offers a wide range of services for entrepreneurs. Built to Gold LEED national standards for environmental construction, the $21.5 million Center is partially powered by a solar panel field and wind turbines. Training laboratories focus on nuclear energy, alternative energy, sustainable building, photonics/optics, nanotechnology and more. The Center is also home to the Regional Center for Nuclear Education and Training (RCNET), a seven state initiative funded by a National Science Foundation grant.

TCPSTC BuildingTreasure Coast Public Safety Training Complex — The 50-acre Treasure Coast Public Safety Training Complex is an internationally recognized resource for public service education. A living laboratory, the 8-building complex brings together vitally important branches of public service education in one state-of-the-art venue. Training programs and professional development offerings focus on criminal justice, fire science, emergency management, homeland security, humanitarian assistance, paralegal, and human services. Radiation detection training for the Super Bowl, dive rescue exercises, the Great Florida Fire School, and mock disaster exercises with national and international participation have earned IRSC a far-reaching reputation. IRSC has developed partnerships with the Florida Highway Patrol, Florida Fish and Wildlife Agency, Florida Department of Transportation, Florida Division of Emergency Management and Army National Guard Civil Support Teams.

Supporting the revitalization of Fort Pierce, the Blackburn Educational Building serves as the hub of the R. Duke Nelson Human Development and Resources Centre (HDRC).

An Indian River State College facility, the Blackburn Educational Building is the site for over 20 college programs, career and technical training and adult education. The center serves as a community center for meetings, after-school activities and community events. The Educational Building is supported by a generous gift from David and Ursula Blackburn. Students also benefit from the computer facilities in the Ursula K. Blackburn Language Laboratory. Other supporters of the building include PNC Bank and the Booth Foundation. Indian River State College and the City of Fort Pierce have joined with community agencies in the development of the R. Duke Nelson Human Development and Resources Centre. Partners include the St. Lucie County School District, Fort Pierce Housing Authority, Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency, Boys and Girls Club of St. Lucie County and other community groups, collaborating to increase the level of services to residents of the Northwest community.
